The ingredients needed to make Baked sweetpotato (shakarkand):
  1. Make ready 3-4 medium sized sweet potatoes
  2. Take 1 tsp sendha salt (rock salt)
  3. Make ready 1 tsp ground nut oil or ghee

  1. Preheat oven at 180°c for 10 mins.
  2. Wash sweetpotato thoroughly making sure all dust particles are removed. Pat dry.
  3. Grease the sweetpotaoes with ghee/oil and wrap in aluminium foil sheet.
  4. Bake for approx 30 mins or until it becomes soft. To check, pierce with knife. If it cuts smoothly it's done.
  5. Let them cool and then peel.
  6. Cut into pieces, sprinkle sendhav namak and serve.
  7. (Tip- choose similiar size and shape sweetpotatoes so they cook evenly and uniformly)
