Take Other ingredients:
Take 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
Make ready 3 cloves garlic, minced
Take 1/4 onion, diced
Take 1/2 red chili pepper, diagonally cut
Prepare 1/2 cucumber, cut out the seeds, diagonally cut
Prepare 150 gr pineapple, sliced
Get 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced
Prepare 1 tsp rice vinegar
Prepare 50 ml water
Take 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 3 Tbsp water
Get 1 stalk green onion, diagonally cut
Instructions to make Sweet and Sour Chicken:
Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Set aside for 15 minutes.
1. Dip the chicken into the batter ingredients. Coat evenly with flour mixture. Shake the excess flour off.
1. Deep fry the chicken until crispy and golden brown. Remove from the pan. Set aside.
1. For the sauce: - Heat the vegetable oil in a wok over medium heat. Sauté garlic and onion, until fragrant.
1. Add sauce ingredients and white pepper powder. Pour water. Mix well. Bring it to boil.
1. Add red bell pepper, cucumber, and pineapple. Mix well.
1. Add rice vinegar. Add the cornstarch mixture and continue to cook until thickened. Test the taste.
1. Add green onion and mix well again.
1. Toss in the chicken and do a few quick stirs.
