Take 2 cup wheat flour
Take 1/4 cup yoghurt
Prepare 1/4 cup oil
Take 1 cup methi or fenugreek leaves
Take 1 tsp coriander powder
Take 1 tbsp salt or as per your taste
Make ready 1/2 tsp sesame seed
Get 1 tbsp chilli powder
Make ready 1/2 tsp caram seed
Take 1/2 tsp garlic paste
Get 1/2 tsp chilli paste
Steps to make Soft Methi Thepla | Gujarati thepla | Fenugreek thepla | Lunchbox Recipe | Picnic Recipe -:
Firstly, in a large mixing bowl take wheat flour
Also add Salt, Red chili powder, turmeric, sesame seeds, carom seeds.
Add Garlic and chilli paste
Add 1/4 Cup oil and mix it well.
Add 1 cup Fenugreek leaves and 1/4 cup yoghurt and mix all together well.
Add water little by little and make soft dough.
Add 2 tsp of oil and knead the dough for 5 more minutes and rest for 10 min.
Now pinch a medium sized ball dough, roll and flatten it.
Also dust with some wheat flour when needed.
Roll it in a thin circle like chapathi or paratha
Now on a hot tawa place the rolled thepla and cook for a minute.
When the base is partly cooked, flip the methi thepla - also brush oil / ghee and press slightly.
Cook both side well.
Finally, serve methi thepla with raita and pickle.
