  18. Prepare 25 g breadcrumbs
  19. Prepare 30 g plain flour
  20. Make ready 2 tbsp chilli flakes

  22. Take 1 tbsp black onion seeds/onion powder
  23. Prepare 1/4 tsp baking powder
  24. Take 90 ml vodka
  25. Take vegetable oil (frying)
  26. Prepare 2 tbsp hot sauce
Steps to make Korean Fried Chicken:
  1. Coating- combine all ingredients bar chicken
  2. Add chicken, coat and set aside
  3. BBQ sauce- combine all ingredients in a small saucepan and simmer for 3 mins until slightly thickened and set aside
  4. For the chicken, place a large, wide, pan over a medium-high heat, fill with oil (at least 5cm deep) and heat
  5. Batter- Whisk together dry ingredients. In a small bowl, whisk together the hot sauce, vodka and 240ml water
  6. Just before you're ready to cook the chicken, whisk the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and coat chicken
  7. Cook the chicken in 2 batches for 8-10 mins in the hot oil until crispy (turn about)
