Heat oil in large frying pan,add the patties and cook over medium heat for 3-4 minutes on each side until just browned.Stir the stock into remaining soup and pour into frying pan,reduce heat, cover and gently simmer for about 12 minutes, add mushrooms.Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
  3. I served this with leek and garlic mashed potatoes. Boil potatoes, in separate pan boil 3 leeks chopped,chopped finely, 3 clove garlic chopped finely in a little milk until tender. Strain and set milk aside.Add the vegetables to potatoes, add butter season with nutmeg.Use the milk to mash potatoes to consistency you prefer.

I cooked this Salisbury steak this evening and it was very quick and easy. The flavor and texture was wonderful. TIPS: I removed steaks from pan after browning - adding onions. Fry the patties in a skillet with the butter and oil over medium-high heat on both sides until no longer pink in the middle. Reimagine salisbury steak by making them into meatballs and tossing them in deliciously buttery egg noodles.
