  2. Prepare 2 1/2 cups Basmati rice -

  5. Take 4 cups water Boiling -
  6. Get 1 1/4 kg Chicken -
  7. Prepare 3 Onion - medium , sliced finely
  8. Make ready 1 to 1 1/2 tspns Ginger-garlic paste -
  9. Get 1 Lime Juice lemon small - from
  10. Prepare 1/2 tspn Turmeric powder -
  11. Take 1 1/2 tspns Garam masala - ( add more or less according to your taste )
  12. Get 1/2 tspn Pepper powder -
  13. Get Coriander leaves chopped
  14. Make ready Salt
  15. Get Oil
Instructions to make Easy Chicken Biryani:
  1. Wash and clean chicken pieces well.Marinate them with turmeric powder,garam masala powder,pepper powder,ginger garlic paste,lime juice and salt.Keep for 30 mints.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and fry the sliced onion pieces till golden brown.Keep aside.
  3. Wash and drain basmati rice.Now heat ghee in a pan and splutter whole masala.Add washed rice and stir carefully
  4. (without breaking them) till the rice crackles.Add 4 cups boilng water and enough salt.Cover and cook till the water is drained out.Remove from fire.At this stage the rice will not be fully cooked.It will be only 3/4th cooked.Keep aside.
  5. In another non stick pan,add the marinated chicken pieces and cook in low-medium flame without adding water.
  6. The chicken will get cooked from the water from the chicken pieces itself.When the chicken is almost cooked and there is still little gravy in it (gravy from the water that oozed out from the chicken pieces),add fried onion and 3/4th cooked rice.Mix well.Add coriander leaves.Cover and cook in low flame for about 15-20 mints.By this time,the rice will be fully cooked.Remove from fire and serve.
