Gluten-Free Sandwich Dhokla: Dhokla is a vegetarian food item that originates from the Indian state of Gujarat. It is made with a fermented batter derived from rice and split. Khaman dhokla is a traditional Gujarati dish and my family's favourite. I make it quite often at home Finally, I made it few days back for breakfast.

Steps to make Sandwich dhokla:
  1. Instructions - - Wash and soak rice and urad dal in enough water for 7-8 hours.
  2. Grind rice and daal to make a smooth paste like idli batter.
  3. In a bowl take 1/4 tsp of soda/eno,1 tsp oil and 2 tsp water and mix well.
  4. Boil some water in a steamer and grease the dhokla plates.
  5. Arrange these plates in the steamer and cover the steamer with a lid.
  6. Now apply chutney on one dhokla (on the rough side).
  7. Place other dhokla over it(keep the rough side over the chutney)
  8. Heat oil in a small pan and add the tempering ingredients.
  9. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve
