  9. Place one cooled red layer of cake bottom side up on serving plate
  10. Frost with some of the vanilla buttercream frosting
  11. Add the white layer, bottom side up
  12. Frost with some frostung
  13. Top with the second red layer of cake, bottom up
  14. Frost entire cake with tthe frosting
  15. Garnish cake with sprinkles. Chill cake for 2 hours for easy slicing

Gradually add confectioners' sugar, beating well after each addition and scraping sides and bottom of bowl frequently.
