Instructions to make French fries:
  1. Take the potatoes and rinse well in water. Then peel them.
  2. Then begin to cut them in sticks having 1 cm width. You can also rinse the potato sticks in water to get rid of the starch.
  3. In a bowl take 4-5 cup cold water and dunk the potato sticks in it. Keep this bowl in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

  5. Heat oil in a kadai. On medium hot flame fry the potato sticks till light brown. Remove with a slotten spoon and place the half fried potato sticks on the kitchen towel. After removing all the batches of potato sticks cool down on the room temperature.
  6. Now increasing the flame high. Add the half fried potato sticks in the hot oil. Fry till crisp and golden. Remove and place on the kitchen towel. Take the fries in the bowl sprinkle with some herbs, salt and chilli flakes. Serve hot fries with tomato sauce or any dip.
